Introduction

Welcome to the DLPKS Review 2008. It should come as no surprise to most that the Irish Construction Industry has registered its first decline for many years in 2007. This of course is due to the inevitable decline in housing completions but we at DLPKS do not share the doom and gloom professed by many commentators as the other sectors in our Industry are experiencing significant growth.

We welcome the Governments commitment to investment in construction outlined under the National Development Plan and further endorsed in the recent budget by increasing their financial commitment.

DLPKS has experienced substantial growth in all of our offices during 2007 and would like to thank all our clients, staff and colleagues for their continued support.

We have continued the development of our services with Specification writing; Infrastructure Cost Management and Project Management all growing.

We believe our clients and colleagues are seeing real benefits from our developing relationship with the International Davis Langdon Group. We thank all our colleagues within the group for their support.

We look forward to the challenges and opportunities that will emerge during 2008 where our objective of delivering a quality service that meets our clients requirements will continue to be our top priority.
