The UK and Europe have an abundance of tributaries that have yet to be maximised in terms of energy generation. With the introduction of the UK’s feed-in tariff in early 2010, there is a real possibility for developers and landowners to create revenue with multiple hydro schemes. These can be developed in many locations within the UK, utilising sites which would not usually benefit from built assets.
