The integration of sustainable design into your project begins early in design and continues throughout the process until the building is occupied. Davis Langdon’s Sustainability group understands the challenges of this task and is fully qualified to assisting you in meeting your project’s LEED® objectives. As LEED assessors on behalf of the USGBC, we review hundreds of projects annually, making us intimately knowledgeable on what is required for approval. It is this familiarity with LEED that allows us to effectively navigate you through the process, while overseeing and coordinating the efforts with the project team to achieve your desired end result.
Our work begins in the earliest possible phase, and we continue to provide hands-on support throughout. After evaluating your sustainable goals and assess their feasibility, we utilize energy, life cycle, carbon, and solar modeling to evaluate systems and design choices. Working with the design team, we monitor design development and provide technical assistance to ensure the steps are in place to meet your targets. We facilitate workshops with the project team to develop the appropriate metrics and specific design measures appropriate for your project needs, and monitor team responsibilities throughout design and construction. Finally, we coordinate documentation and provide submittal assistance for final LEED certification. Our team will continue to evaluate the project’s success post occupancy with metrics established at the start, providing you the means to monitor and improve your building’s operations.
